The 1-Year Filmmaking Advanced Program is built for film students who already have experience and at least one high-quality short-film credit in a key role. You’ll choose your path in Directing, Cinematography, Producing, Screenwriting, Documentary or Post-Production and dive straight into advanced work — taking mandatory classes in your department while using the rest of your schedule for electives or developing your own film projects. The program is designed to guide you toward creating a final film with festival-level ambition and quality. Along the way, you can take part in filmmaking internships on real productions, and the strongest films receive production support and festival distribution guidance.

Create a professional short film with festival ambitions in your main specialisation.

Choose from directing, cinematography, documentary, screenwriting, production or post-production
Choose your specialisation and spend the year developing advanced, industry-ready skills. Your specialisation classes are mandatory, while the rest of your timetable is flexible — so you can create an individual study plan based on what you want to achieve. This is a highly practical program: half of each semester is dedicated purely to shooting student films, meaning you spend a significant part of the year on sets. Alongside production, you also build your career foundation through professional development classes — from creating your showreel and portfolio materials to planning your next steps after the program.

Before the program begins, there are a few essentials to get ready. This section outlines what you’ll need to bring, what is provided by the school, and what to expect in terms of equipment and basic costs.
