About Applying

Prague Film Institute is open to applicants of all nationalities and previous education who are older than 18 years. If you aim to receive BTEC HNC or HND at the end of your one or two years course, you will be also asked to meet official BTEC entry criteria which are stated on webpage of each course.

Applying to Prague Film Institute is easy. You just fill in our online application form and upload a copy of your passport and link to an example of your creative work or motivational letter. We evaluate applicants according to their creative potential and date of application. After successful admission, preference is given to those who sign Prague Film Institute’s study contract and pay the deposit which secures place on the course. After securing the place, newly enrolled non-EU students will be eligible to start the visa application proces. For visa application you can either use services of our professional visa agency or choose another agency by your own. Most of our applicants use the visa agency recommended by Prague Film Institute.

The Application Process

Submit the Application

Fill in and submit the application form on our websites.

Evaluation Process

You will be contacted by a representative of the school with the result no later than 10 days after submitting your online application form.

Signature of Study Contract

After being accepted you will receive a study contract to sign.

Deposit Payment

To secure your place on the course you will be invoiced 50% of tuition fee.

Apply for Visa

This step is applicable only for non-EU applicants. After we receive the deposit payment we will provide you with all documents necessary for your visa application. You can apply through our cooperating visa service agency or on your own.

Get Visa

This step is applicable only for non-EU applicants. Once you get visa approved you can start planning your travel. In case you won’t obtain the visa, we will refund you entire deposit of tuition fee (visa service fee is non-refundable).

Find Accommodation

You can choose different portals and agencies for your accommodation.

8

Pay Balance Due

6 weeks before your program start date you will be asked to pay the remaining balance.

When To Apply?

For non-EU applicants we recommend to apply min. 4 months before start of the course because visa process may takes 90 – 120 days.

Documents To submit

Please submit all documents in the online application form. Necessary documents are:

Year Programs – scan of passport, secondary school leaving qualification, example of creative work / motivation letter

Summer Program – scan of passport
