Cinematography Degrees

Cinematography degrees at Prague Film Institute offer an English-taught pathway to study camera craft and visual storytelling in Prague while building real production experience. You’ll develop core cinematography skills in lighting, composition, and camera operation through hands-on projects, create showreel-ready work for your portfolio, and progress through degree routes that can include BTEC Higher Nationals and a final-year transfer to a partner university in the EU or UK.

TAKE THE NEXT STEP:
MAKE A FEATURE FILM

NEW FOR 2027: Students in our advanced programs can develop a feature screenplay during their studies. After successfully completing the program, they can shoot their own feature film without additional tuition. Included in the program: professional mentoring, a main crew role and a €100,000 production budget.

PRO EQUIPMENT

Train with professional cameras, lenses and equipment, both at the school and in a professional rental environment.

MAKE YOUR OWN FILMS

Filmmaking students create their own films throughout their studies. Advanced students also develop a feature film.

INDIVIDUAL MENTORING

Learn in practical classes limited to 15 students, with individual guidance and feedback from working film professionals.

PROFESSIONAL SET EXPERIENCE

Opportunities to gain experience on professional film and TV productions through internships.
