Study at Prague Film Institute with 50% off tuition through our Work–Study Scholarship. Each academic year, we offer two scholarships — one for Filmmaking and one for Acting — available to students enrolled in our one-year and two-year programs.
Applications are now open for the 2027–2028 academic year.
In exchange for the tuition reduction, selected students contribute approximately one day per week (7–10 hours) to the school’s marketing, media and events activities. Depending on their skills and interests, this may include filming and photographing classes, creating social media content, producing promotional videos, appearing on camera, supporting school events or representing PFI as student ambassadors.
The scholarship is open to both beginners and advanced students. We welcome creative ideas, enthusiasm and a willingness to contribute — previous professional marketing experience is not required.
Applying for the Work–Study Scholarship is easy. Simply complete the regular application form for your chosen Filmmaking or Acting program and select the Work–Study Scholarship option.
You can choose whether you wish to apply for the scholarship only or whether you would also be interested in studying at PFI as a regular tuition-paying student if you are not selected.
You don’t need to wait for the scholarship results to secure your place. If you would like to begin the regular admission and enrolment process earlier, you can do so. If you are subsequently awarded the scholarship in March, the 50% tuition reduction will be applied to your second tuition instalment.

Applications for the 2027–2028 academic year are now open. The application deadline is 28 February 2027. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to interviews in March 2027, and scholarship recipients will be announced by the end of March.
To apply for the Work–Study Scholarship, simply complete the regular application form for your chosen program and select the scholarship option. You can indicate whether you would also be willing to enrol as a regular tuition-paying student if you are not selected.
Scholarship applicants may also share additional relevant creative work and will be asked to submit a short document outlining their ideas for contributing to PFI’s marketing, media or events activities.
Scholarship Duration: The scholarship is available for one-year and two-year Filmmaking and Acting programs and is awarded for one academic year at a time. Students enrolled in two-year programs are welcome to apply again through the scholarship selection process for their second year.
Please note: The Work–Study Scholarship cannot be combined with any other tuition discounts.
